SOUL KITCHEN - DUBAI | Architectural Acoustics + Tailored Audio Solution

Soul Kitchen is a high-energy venue developed alongside Reunion, sharing both physical proximity and acoustic constraints. Unlike a ground-up system design, the project required adapting and expanding an existing audio installation inherited from a previously unfinished outlet, while achieving the sound pressure levels and atmosphere expected of a bustling nightlife destination.

 

CHALLENGES

  • Adapt the existing Architettura Sonora speakers to the technical requirements of the venue
  • Achieve an intimate acoustic environment for the green room (DJ and live music area) while keeping a balanced acoustic response for the rest of the venue

 

STRATEGIES

  • Assessment and reuse of the existing sound system, identifying components suitable for integration and upgrade rather than full replacement
  • Targeted system expansion and reconfiguration to increase sound pressure levels, coverage consistency, and impact appropriate for a high-energy venue
  • System tuning and alignment focused on achieving a dense, immersive sound while maintaining control given the venue’s proximity to Reunion
  • Coordination with adjacent soundproofing strategies to ensure acoustic coexistence between Soul Kitchen and its sister venue without mutual interference
